The word "anxiety" covers a wide range of human experiences. The list of possible symptoms is long, and the severity of those symptoms ranges from mild to debilitating - all differing for each person experiencing the symptoms. In short, anxiety is that feeling that prevents you from being happy and content, that nagging feeling that you're not good enough, that fear of fully embracing who you are. Counselling is perfectly suited to helping relieve these symptoms, and can enable you to lead a more fulfilling life - no matter how mild or unimportant you may have told yourself those symptoms are.
Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people come to see me. I often discuss topics relating to anxiety in my blog. Articles relating to anxiety can be found here.
